Mission Statement

To serve God and the congregation of St. Fancis of Assisi by caring for the altar, sanctuary and sacristy of the church with all contents, and by preparing the physical elements required to facilitate Eucharistic liturgies and various ceremonies or services held in the church.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the pastor, altar socity members prepare the sacred vessels for the celebration of the Eucharist, put out appropriate quantities of bread and wine, lay out vestments for celebrants, mark and place the Lectionary and Sacramentary books for the liturgy, purigy sacred vessels after mass, clean the sanctuary and sacristy weekly, wash and iron altar linens, dry clean vestments, clean holy water font, maintain the votive candle and stands and help decorate the church on special occasions such as Christmas and Easter.
